Join me for 3-weeks of private crochet tuition, designed to ignite your crafting passion and equip you with the skills to tackle projects with confidence. Classes will take place via Google Meet during January and February 2025, at a schedule that suits you. 

These classes are being offered at a bargain price for one-to-one tuition to allow me to test out how to deliver this content online. The content and structure are the same as my popular tried and tested in-person courses, but I would like to see if there are any points at which extra resources or alternative explanations are needed when teaching online. Please make sure that this suits you ahead of booking. 

The price of the course includes a kit with all the bits and bobs you’ll need to get started (value £15) and I can offer advice on yarns and hooks to buy as the course goes on. 

You can choose the content of your sessions from Crochet Foundation or Crochet for Improvers, please see the course outlines below to see which suits you best,.

Crochet Foundation for Beginners

Week One: Get started with foundation chains, double and treble stitches, stripes, colour changes, and securing your work.

Week Two: Explore Granny Squares and motifs, work in the round, and get start to get comfortable with reading charts and instructions.

Week Three: Master the shell stitch, work in clusters, plan colours, and learn to read charts and written patterns, including 2-row patterns. You can also bring your first project ideas for advice on getting started and we’ll have a chat about finishing and joining techniques in this session to get you set up for future projects. 

Crochet for Improvers: Stripes and Checks 

Week One: Colourwork - We will learn how to work with multiple colours within a row to create a checked pattern, and will explore the technique further, looking at how to create other shapes and motifs.

Week Two: Wave stitches - we will explore using combinations of double and treble stitches and changing colours to create different striped wavy patterns.

Week Three: Chevron stripes - We will learn the chevron stitch, working stitches together and working multiple stitches in the same space to understand the technique and experiment with scale and repeats.
